An expansive and striking natural dye flatweave rug featuring a traditional Zapotec motif that symbolizes the agave plant. It has been handwoven using locally sourced wool on a traditional pedal loom in Oaxaca.

Story

This natural dye rug is handwoven by a family of skilled artisans in Teotitlán del Valle, Oaxaca. They use locally sourced wool that has been hand dyed using local plant sources including pomegranate and marigold. The entire family knows how to weave, as did their ancestors before them.

Care & Longevity

You can hoover this rug as normal. If you are going to wash it, we recommend dry cleaning, although washing separately on a cold handwash setting should suffice.
