This relaxed cotton throw blanket is handwoven and hand-dyed naturally using indigo. It is brought forward by our artisan partners in Bali, who are purveyors of slow production and natural dye techniques.

Story

This piece is handmade at a natural dye house in Bali, where our artisan partners produce more than five hundred dyes from just five local plant species. The slow dyeing process takes place in a holistic way, using non-polluting and biodegradable ingredients, and far less water than is required for synthetic dyes. The use of indigo to dye fabric is a method that dates at least six thousand years.

Care & Longevity

Ideally air outside. Otherwise we recommend washing in cold water separately from other items. Use a mild detergent and do not soak for a long period of time.
