Our Rangrang bedrunners are special Balinese textiles that were traditionally used as costumes for spiritual dance rituals. They are handwoven on backstrap looms by a family of highly skilled artisans on the small island of Nusa Penida. 
This bedrunner is part of a special collaboration with weavers Bu Wayan and Pak Made. The size has been extended to be suitable for a super king bed.

Story

Our Rangrang bedrunners are handwoven by a family of highly skilled weavers on the tiny island of Nusa Penida. They are one of the few families that still specialise in making these rare textiles that have been traditionally used as ritual dance costumes. Rangrang is woven using a complicated split tapestry weave technique that leaves small purposeful holes in the cloth. The holes were said to connect the dancers with deities.
