Designed and handwoven by a community of female artisans in Bali, this decorative basket with lid makes for a unique shelf accent or is beautiful when displayed as part of a wider collection. It is handcrafted using 100% organic lontar leaf.

Story

A group of around twenty women weave these baskets from their homes; the youngest of the community is forty-three years of age. It is a time-consuming process that requires a lot of skill. Natural lontar leaf is used for the lightest colour, whereas mud is used to create the brown tones. For black, the leaves are steamed with teak.
